Tracking trial of wildboar with hounds

This weekend I have had my first contact with the hunting side of the dog world. I have attended as visitor a tracking of wildboar event. Nice and really interesting to see how the hounds work.

International Dog Show of Girona

I am over the moon with the results of this weekend, it has been a really special show.

The results in the breed judging have been just great, the judge Mr.Revaz Khomasuridze (Russia) has liked all my dogs, so I have won class after class, also in the group I have been selected with my dear Draco.

In the afternoon, during the finals the President of the Catalonian Kennel Club has given the trophies for all the Junior Champions of Catalonia of the year 2015, and after that the judge Mr. Jose Juan Vidal had to select the 3 Best dogs from among 26 dogs. And Loa has got 3rd BIS of the Junior Catalonian Championship!!!

I must say that Loa looked beautiful and she has showed herself really well, for me she was shining and it seems that also she did it for the judge. I am more than happy.

Fira de la Terra - Open Dog Show in Caldes de Malavella

And of course I have to mention a little bit more about the show surroundings. This was a weekend for the animals so in the meantime there were more exhibitions, agility, canicross, horses competitions.

And look at this colt, it a Marwari a breed from India. I was talking with the owner and he explained me that there are only 6 Marwaris in Spain and only 2 more in Europe.

Look at his typical ears. It was a pleasure to see this horse, it's a breed that I only had seen in books.

83 and 84 International Oporto Dog Show

We have started the show season again, this time the first show has been in the neighbour country with the mandatory point dog show of Portugal. Zeta has started her adult championship and now we are going step to step to finish it.

2015 has been a really busy year at dog shows and I must admit that also really hard. I have had two youngsters competing in the same class so I had to decide which one had to focus in one championship and at the end I am happy with the results as we have succeed in obtaining all the titles that we have in the Iberian Peninsula.

And a really nice event has been the litter between Odile and Rouge a stunning combination that goes back to the roots in Africa. 7 wonderful puppies were born and they are spread around Europe and Africa which makes me really proud.

Also Draco has been father in France. 2 stunning and wonderful litters with a total of 20 puppies which are also spread around Europe and Africa. What more can I ask for?
