In the next International Show of Alicante, two events are going to take place.
The first one:

On Sunday afternoon (16-17h) you can come to take pictures with the dogs and also to play with them. You can also listen the legend and characteristics of the breed given by Vanessa Moyano Gonzálvez, judge and breeder.
There will be some other owners and breeders so you can talk with them and take pictures of their dogs.
You only have to assist to Expocachorro with the following tickets. Save the image, print it and present it in the entry of the Hall.

A tribute to my lovely Hidra who passed away on 10 November 2013, almost 12 years old. She has been my foundation bitch and my forever puppy. I will miss you so much... but I must think I am lucky because I have a little bit of you on your daughters Nessy and Gala, granddaughter Odette and great granddaughter Odile and grandson Draco.

European Dog Show in Switzerland
Draco in champion class in the European dog show
During my holidays I have travelled to 3 dogs shows. The International Dog Show on August 29th, the RR Club Show of the Swiss Club on August 30th and the European dog show on August 31st.
I have spent a really nice days in company of Elizabeth and her daughter Vivi. I also have seen the offspring of Draco and Tandi in the Club Show as well as Towas of Martina, a son of Vulcan and Phalana.

International Dog Show in Madrid (Mandatory Pt)
Today the mandatory point dog show has been held in Madrid. Draco was there with his handler Montse Ferrandez, he got an Exc 4 in open class.
I don't have any picture of Draco, sorry. I was judging in France in the National Dog Show of Bailleul sur Thérain (France), we spent a nice day, cold but without rain!

Today the genetic results about the Haemophilia B in Ridgebacks has arrived and Draco, Odette and Odile are free of it.
I didn't know about this disease in the RR, but just some days before Crufts, Montse, veterinarian and owner of Namib and Tembo asked me about it. So, it was clear to me that it was going to be my first question to my friends and RR breeders of England. They told me that they knew about the haemophilia B, unfortunately. Lot of RR have died through the years in surgeries that are not dangerous at all just because they had haemophilia and the vet couldn't stop their bleeding.
I came back to Spain with the information and some days after BOOM, the news about the haemophilia spread around internet, forums and facebook...
Next step! We have to test our dogs, this is important as their life depends on this!

13 puppies. 6 males (2 livernosed) and 7 females (2 livernosed). 12 correct puppies, 1 female incorrect.
Unfortunately 1 male and 1 female wento to the Rainbow Bridge.

Also this year 2012 has ended with sad news. My beloved Neith left me in August with 16 years old. We have been together half of my life. We have had great moments together, the horses, the university, my job, my master degree, the Ridgebacks that year after year were more numerous, the annoying puppies that bited her fluffy tail... now she is again with her best friends Vulcan and Ghintza.
