Today I remembered about our visit to the TV program El Club de TV3, a program in the Catalan TV on 2006.

This week it was supposed to be the Rhodesian Ridgeback World Congress at Dortmund. But due to Covid-19 the event was cancelled some months ago due to the difficulties of travelling and of course the health risks.
But some weeks ago they contacted all the participants that 2 videoconferences where going to be held. Today was the one about Degenerative Mielopathy.
A good and responsible breeder not only has to look for the show results but also for the good health of the dogs. A good breeder must know about the problems in the breed and must be updated about them to improve and maintain the health of the breed through breeding selection.
The most interesting part of the conference for me has been when they have talked about the incidence of DM in Rhodesian Ridgeaback because this makes easier to take decisions when breeding.

Easter Monday and in Catalonia we eat "La Mona"
Tomorrow I have to come back to work, yes I have to teleworking these days. I will try to update the website but I will have less time and less aim to be in front of a computer more time after work.
Here you are a video of How to make La Mona. As we are in the confinement I have preferred to make it at home. I am not an expert chef so don't expect an artwork.
12 April 2020
Happy Easter, another day of the confinement. Enjoy with your beloved ones, 2 or 4 legged family. And although you are not master chefs, try to do your best making the sweets or cakes typical from where you live. I am sure you will enjoy and it will be tasty. I will show you my try for the Spanish or Catalan cake of these days, La Mona ;)

We can use the confinement to enjoy the weather, to rest, to saty with our beloved ones...
It's time to realize that working all day, money, material things are not everything. What it matters is to be happy and be surrounded by your beloved ones and although we can not be together, we are close to each other through a phone call, skype or whatsapp...

Molema Mua Rôo achievements on 2019
2019 has been a special year but also sad.
Molema Mua Rôo is 20 years already and I am very proud of the work done through these years. Step by step and slowly we have been working hard for the breed and we have been recognised worldwide. Now my dogs are over some continents and when people listen about the origin of the dog they know that a Molema Mua Rôo are sign of quality and distinction.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the foundation of the kennel, we have created a wine, with Muscat the Frontignan grapes. A wine to enjoy the special moments and meetings with friends.
The happiest moments of the year have been the ones with Molema Mua Rôo Satara. This year has been her year.
To have a good start of the year we went to Oporto, to the Portuguese Championship. Satara dazzled and with only the results of Saturday show she became Portugal Champion, Latin Winner 2019 of Portugal, Qualified for Crufts 2020 for Portugal.
In April we went to Exposición Internacional de Primavera de Punto Obligatorio en Madrid. Where Saatara shone again and got CAC and CACIB. Finishing her championship, Spanish Champion, Latin Winner 2019 of Spain and Qualified for Crufts 2020 for Spain.
Satara and Joan Asensio
Hours later she take part in the Arion Champion Awards, where the best dogs of 2018 go to a Gala and compete for the Best dog title. A nice experience and a fabulous organization and care to the participants.
In October we went to Gibraltar International Dog Shows. Satara again was the star of the show, a great achievement as she gave birth 7 weeks before, due that we had to raise the puppies by bottle feed due to Satara's mastitis, she was incredibly lean and fit. The judges fell in love with her and she got BOB and 3rd of Group both days.
There were more Ridgbacks at Gibraltar dog show that at the meantime Spanish Autumn mandatory point, so it has been a great achivement this year to win the Gibraltar championship. So Satara achieved Gibraltar Championship and Qualification for Crufts 2020 x 2 for Gibraltar.
Champion of Portugal and Latin Winner 2019 of Portugal
Champion of Spain and Latin Winner 2019 of España
Champion of Gibraltar
4 Qualifications for Crufts 2020
Mala Mala is following the steps of her older sister Satara, always second behind her. In 2020 Satara will go to less shows and she will make way to Mala Mala.

The sad moment has been the suddenly death of Draco. While I was on holidays + show with Satara, Mala and Zeta in the Championship of France and the visit of Loira Castles. We received a phone call from the dog boarding kennels saying that Draco was very ill. So we had to come back directly from Saumur to home, with non stop driving through the night we arrived the next day. We took Draco to the vet were he was hospitalised 8 days. He improved so we took him home, but we had to came back the following day for the checking, during the trip to the vet he got worst and he arrived that he could barely breath, so at the end we had to let him go.
His suddenly death has been quite traumatic for me and that is why I have updated the website very few times.
2020 will be a year with ups and downs I know. I just hope that the downs will take long time to come.
